Salary - £20.81-£23.74 per hour
£40,574.00-£46,301.00 per anum pro-rata
(Inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance)
An opportunity has arisen to be part of an exceptional care team providing care to older adults and specialist palliative care to the community of the Western Isles. Bethesda Care Home and Hospice has an excellent reputation for providing a high standard of care in the Hospice and the Nursing Home.
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Staff Nurse who has a passion for providing and delivering high quality, holistic palliative and end of life care, whether that is for medical, social, spiritual and/or emotional support.
The successful candidate will be funded to obtain a qualification in palliative care, if not already held. Availability for extra shift cover is optional.

Salary - £14.68 - £17.08 per hour
£28,626.00 - £33,302.00 pro-rata
(Inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance)
We are currently looking for caring and motivated individuals who would like the opportunity to support older adults to live life to the fullest and promote their independence. Bethesda Care Home & Hospice, located in Stornoway, provides care for 30 permanent resident placements. The Hospice provides for up to 4 patients during end-of-life care or for those who require a day service such as pain management or respite break.
You will work within a team of Nurses and Health Care Assistants to meet the needs of our residents. Practical experience is not necessary as training will be provided, however, previous experience within the care sector would be an advantage.
Shift are normally day shift 0730 to 14.30 or 1400 to 2000, night shift 2130 to 0730
A successful Health Care Assistant must be willing to work towards a qualification of SVQ Level II and III, in Health and Social Care as required by our registered body the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). The course will be paid for you during your employment.
